Here is a unique situation for the "Experts". I have setup my AXIM on my work PC and use Lotus notes and all is workign well except for one Bug a Boo. The company I work for is German owned and all of our servers are located in Germany. The have provide us with a Internet server and of course they have us locked down pretty well with a Firewall. We can access pretty much all of the internet with a couple of exceptions.
1. There is no Instant Messageing capabilities at all, (minoe issue to me)
2. Time sync is about 10 minutes off. The set up does not allow the server to sync with local time and all efforts to try and use Atomic clock and similar products hit a stone wall. The Germans are not willing to give an inch on trying to get our system to sync so as you can imagine my Axim is always on the server time and not real time.(or at least the time I percive to be real). This plays havock with my appointments away from work.
Well in the whole sceme of things its not a big deal but one I would like to develope a work around for,.
Ideas?
Suggestions? (Nice ones that is)

In ActiveSync on the desktop PC under "Options", you can turn off the setting that syncs the Axim's clock when you connect. That way you can set the clock on your Axim to whatever you want and not have it change to the 10 minute incorrect time on your network.

Thanks. I thought I had checked for that option but must have missed it. Come Monday I will take a look at the set up.

I feel like a duffous. The option was tere in plain sight. However not the Germans have fixed the time discrepency...go figure. Maybe one of them read this post.
