Question PowerPoint on Axim

I have just received my Axim, and noticed that PowerPoint is not among the installed programs (Excel and Word are). Could somebody help me know what should I do?
Thanks,
Ted:love:

Ted,

PowerPoint is not part of the Microsoft group of applications for Pocket PC.

Howerver, all is not lost....

On your Dell install CD there is a version of IA Presenter, which converts your PPT files for viewing on the Axim. If this doesn't do the trick, there are a couple of other options you can hit Handango or PocketGear to pick up, such as Pocket Slide Show and ClearVue. Try IA Presenter first, as you won't have to pay for it!

Good luck!

On the wings of the Wind....

Dear WindWalker,

You must've used indeed the wind: this was FAST!!!
I'll try your advise, and would ask for a bit more: along with the Axim I have ordered and received from Dell the Margi's Presenter-to-Go card (have not opened it yet). This is to permit me to project PowerPoint presentation. Now the question: which of your suggestions should I try to install in order to make the above card usable?

....aren't you the lucky one...

All the suggestions above can use the Margi Presenter card for output. I don't know that any one is better than the other at this, but I think that Pocket Slides handles the "conversion" process more smoothly than IA Presenter. Download/install them both and try them out. Your mileage may vary ;)

yeah I believe pocket Slides from Conduits is the best one for all around editing, etc. as a matter of fact it took a long time to actually find a app to edit teh slides instead of jsut view them, this one lets you edit text and some other things, which is a huge deal especially if you find a mistake late in a presentation and need to change something before you present you slides.

WindWalker and NMkiD:

Thanks for the help!
What a difference additional brains make!
Installed both IA presenter and PocketSlides, will play with both.
Thanks again!:D
