Make sure all programs are completely shut down before doing the backup. I usually keep MS Reader open in the background, so that I can resume reading quickly. If it is open when I run the back-up, I will get a warning saying that it couldn't back up certain files.

I have just downloaded Sprite Backup (formerly pocket backup) Plus on 10 day trial, everyone seems to love it. BUT I cannot instal it, crashes my Ax X5 everytime. Anyone got any ideas?
(I run Pocket PC 2002, 64mb Ax 5). Help!!

Hmmm. . . I have the Axim X5 Advanced running 2002, and haven't had any problems. Where are you trying to download the program?

Hi Moderator. I downloaded the file from sprite site. During installation I got an onscreen message on PDA about cab problem, reinstal and now when I try to reinstal, it crashes.

Are you trying to install to a card? I have been having trouble with my Axim and CF cards (at least I was - my Axim is now dead, from an unrelated incident).

Make sure you completely uninstall the program before reinstalling it seems to be important.

Have you looked on the Sprite web site forum, they are excellent and if you email them you usually get a very swift and positive response.

Definitely try a full uninstall and then soft reset before you try to reinstall. You may also want to try downloading from a different location, like Handango.
