Backup Software

Does anybody know of any software that will do a complete backup (image) of the Axim? I'm using the ActiveSync backup, but it is very slow.

I use Sunnysoft Backup Manager. It does a whole image or just those pieces you select. It can also do autobackups.

Pocket Backup by Sprite Software. Love it...it saved my butt a couple of days ago. Backs everything up to an executable on your secure digital card. If you have to hard reset, all you do is pop your SD card, use File Explorer to navigate to the executable file, tap it, and 5 minutes later you're back to how you were when the backup ran. The backups themselves take about 5-7 minutes. HIGHLY recommended.

I always recommend Pocket Backup Plus. It is a great program.

PocketBackup Pro will backup individual files, multiple files or the complete Ax, cards and all and will backup up the data on your PC. It will restore the same way. It is the only way to go!:D

Another voice for the chorus... I also use pocket backup! No disasters yet, but it did make my most recent (and unplanned) hard reset a snap to recover from.

If only I ran backup a little more frequently... but they can't fix that user problem in the software!

If you don't have the SD card can you back it up anywhere on the Axim and then copy it via active sync to your desktop pc?

Pocket Backup Plus does have a scheduling option built in. You can schedule to backup once, daily or weekly at a set time.

You don't need to. You can backup directly to the PC with PBPro.

I also use Pocket Backup Plus and love it. It saved me a few weeks ago. However I have noticed lately that when I view report after the backup, I get a Warning stating that it couldn't backup certain things. Mainly is shows my Mileage software which happens to be the most important thing on my Ax(considering that I drive 200 miles a day, and get paid for every mile). Has anyone else noticed this on there Ax with certain software? Did I miss an option somewhere? Back on topic here, do not hesitate to use this software, it is the best I have found.

I've also notice a couple of items that didn't backup, but after doing a soft reset, it backed up everything completely; now a soft reset is part of my backup routine.
