Well it works…

Basically it’s a 15 use trial unless you want to buy, which I would not do.

The screen refresh was wretched and looked really choppy when I did things. The terminal did not line up correctly when I opened up the keypad I think that and the refresh were my biggest annoyances with it.

I get to open my Dell Axim box tommorrow(can't wait) and when I saw your topic I decided to look because I want an SSH client as well. This is what I found: http://www.fuji-climb.org/pf/index.shtml .

Question serial port??

I am also looking for a product of this type. However, I'd like to be able to connect to serial devices using my Dell serial cable connected to the bottom port. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so what software is necessary?

Thanks in advance,
Jonathan Gordon

Try this:

http://www.rainer-keuchel.de/wince/dirlist.html

I haven't tried the ssh client here (not sure what version of ssh it is) yet, but I use the port of stunnel to do IMAP and SMTP over SSL. I was able to get the console to run on my Axim, but with issues - a 'ls' command would generate errors. There's a bunch of other UNIX/GNU stuff there - tar, apache (!), perl - so check it out.

Only SSH-1

Unfortunately, the MochaSoft Telnet product only supports SSH-1, which has security problems.

weevilgenius,
Their website states SSH1/SSH2 (Secure Shell). Is this not true or is this a newer version?

Functionality:
Supports all standard VT220 emulation features
Screen size 24x80
Small and fast
SSH1/SSH2 (Secure Shell)
Encryption with DES , 3-DES or BlowFish
User defined functions keys
Possible to configure different tool bars
Auto login option
Many trim parameters
Free upgrades to new versions of the product

They must have upgraded their product since I last researched it. Good for them!
