Sync Inbox but not subfolders

I have several subfolders under my Inbox in Outlook 2000. ActiveSync seems to want to sync them even though I don't have any of them checked in the settings on the PC. Shouldn't I be able to sync only the Inbox without syncing everything underneath?

open activesync on your pc double click on inbox , there is a plus sign, click that and make sure your personal folders are unchecked. hope this helps

Yep, that was the first thing I checked. I think I may have found my own answer. It seems that Activesync doesn't like it when you place folders under your default Inbox. I moved these folders from the Inbox to the root folders list and that seemed to take care of it. I'm using Outlook 2000 and according to a friend of mine the latest version of Outlook will not allow you to place folders under the Inbox.
