Help to Control Desktop Computer

I was reading about a program that allows you to use your 802.11 to control and view your desktop computer from a Poket PC. Does anybody know of a freeware program to do this.

EDIT by Gigi: Do not ask for copies of paid software.

You can use VNC. It's a free app that let's you view and control you PC from your Axim. Oh, and did I mention it was FREE? ;)

www.realvnc.com

Enjoy! :approve:

P.S. If you are running Windows XP Professional there is a built-in "Terminal Services" client/server. You can use that, but if you don't have XP Pro go with RealVNC. And make sure you pick VNC 3.37 (or something like that), don't pick the 4.0 version. It doesn't seem to work right. :)

For the "control your PC" portion, you can use VNC. Youl'll need a desktop version and PPC version. I don't have any links, but if you search the forums for "VNC" you'll find them easy enough.

As for Resco, I'm not aware of any 'installer'. And Resco Explorer is shareware, not available for free.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for mentioning this software. I am running it right now and this thing is so damn fast. It like refreshes the whole screen in like a snap. Why the heck is VNC so slow? This program can scale the whole desktop too. You can have full control over the mouse and because it is so fast you can drag the mouse like you normally would on a PC compared to VNC's tap tap to open things and get around. Absolutely amazing.

I will have make a video showing it off :)

Again thank man.

I have been trying to control a massive spyware infestation and just a note that:
Tightvnc has 2 spyware objects ,one being a stealth backdoor...USE AT OWN RISK

The programs Tightvnc and VNC both have high risk warnings,I removed both from system.
Netops comes up clean out of 6 different sypware remover programs
