I'm curious as well.
Is it possible to make various voice-memo's during the day and listen back in the evening.
How much time can a voice memo be. An hour? Ten minutes? Depending on the available memory?

Axim does have voice recording capability. If you look at the left side of the unit, you will find a round Record button right below your scroll wheel.
I am not sure if there is any third party software that makes things easier...but it will create a "voice note" file which you can play back later.
You can also control the quality of the recording... so if you find that the files get too large, then you can adjust it by going to Settings...

Anybody know how to get at voice recordings when they've been synchronized with Outlook? I get message items created in my Outlook Notes, but there's no audio file attached.
I know I can explore to my device and copy the .wav files over, but I was hoping to have this happen automagically.

It depends on the quality of the recording
if you go to Settings->Input on the options tab you can choose the voice recording format
the KB/s for each format is stated so you can calculate how much recording time you would have according to your free space...

Resco is not working
I have loaded the latest resco audio recorder on my Axim but I cannt get it to record.
The tests work fine. I have the right hand slider set to the bottom so it is at its most sensitive.
What is the trick to make this thing record?
Thanks!

I've been trying out a demo of VITO sound explorer and so far it works very well. It has different options for sound quality, etc. It's much better than what comes on the Axim. You can find it at www.vito-tech.com

Thanks for the info - More info on it:
Voice Notes Recorder with MP3 encoding (NoteM) was implemented as an alternative to build-in Notes application’s voice recording feature. It gives you approximately 5.5 compression rate (for Low bitrate option) as compared to Notes default recording mode (8-bit 11.025kHz mono PCM), with the same (or even better) perceptual quality. Higher bitrates are also available (you can even record music).

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Now I can record class length files without having a massive file.
