I downloaded Yahoo messenger for pocket pc. I went to try to use it and it logs on and pulls my contact list down but then says not connected. Im using D-link 80211.b flash card and wireless router. I think its got something to do with the proxy settings but ... I dont know what. I mean My MSN messenger works on my Axim... so I just figured this would with no hassle. Well if anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Yahoo SUX for ppc.. I had it for over a year with the ipaq.. i stop using it.. you need to keep hitting connect a lot.. it's not ur wifi , its their network.. plus u can't add contacts within ur ppc account. I had to log myself in on the desktop then log out and use log in on the ppc and it'll be added. Keep hitting connect.. it will eventually connect..

AIM works too but goto the uk site to download it for free as the us site charges 20 bucks.. haha

Is there any other programs that will go and connect better to yahoo? Its just I have all my contact on yahoo and was trying to keep it that way. Guess .... I might as well just use MSN messenger.

Try JabberCE from www.movsoftware.com you can list contacts from Yahoo, AIM, ICQ and MSN all in one application.

I tried out the jabberce and to be honest I was not very fond of it, while I could use it to communicate with all my friends on all clients, the software seemed kind of kudgy to me, it did not scroll right and would shutdown at random for no apparent reason.
