Topkey vs TenGO...any suggestions?

I'm using the trial version of TenGO right now and it seems to be pretty good. I'm used to using Grafitti from the palm days and block recognizer is still the fastest for me. I tried Calligrapher and had terrible luck with that. I write way too sloppy. i gave it about 3 weeks worth before trying TenGO. I don't know how people can get 50 words per minute in these programs. I'm getting around 28 in block recognizer and about 23 in TenGO.
Is Topkey even worth a shot?
Should I stick with TenGO and try to get faster?
Should I just stick with block recognized and be happy with 28 WPM?

I'm in a serious quagmire! :rolling:

I've never tried TopKey, although I'll have to take a look at it.

I've been using TenGo for quite a while now and really like it. You will get quicker with use. The only thing that keeps me in the 30wpm range is the fact that you can learn to tap so fast the app starts bogging down in its word-completion algorithm (although that's probably partly my X5 that is usually overloaded with running apps)

I agree with the second poster. I was the only boy in high school typing (all those lovely high school girls  ) and made the only "D" I ever made in that class but it paid off shortly when I got drafted and the Sargent Major of the battalion came out and asked if anyone typed? Hesitantly, I said I did. Immediately was a Corporal, never pulled KP or LD or Guard and from that point on, didn't really mind if I was I was a bit slow on the typewriter (before computers really came along). I did get up to about 70 wpm after a few years. Now to what I should have said when I started this post, I have tried almost all of them, purchased SpbFullScreen, Fitaly and TenGo, of all I am fastest by far on TenGO and within a fairly short amount of time, you will gain a lot speed too. It's a different approach to typing and takes a bit of a learning curve, but will pay off in the end. :approve:

Have you looked at Decuma Onspot

I have tried quite a few programs out there. For keyboard typed inputs Tengo is definately the way to go. Once you get the hang of it, you can type pretty fast. But if you want to stick with a handwriting type input, you might take a look at Decuma Onspot 3.0. It allows you to write almost like on paper. It also allows you to train it to your handwriting!
