has this happened to Ne1?...Not only that but I can't sync at all.....every time the Axim looks for changes it gets disconnected.....can NE1 help?...thanks

Yeah but it didn't work...the contacts are still stored in the stock contact program.

I would try uninstalling Agenda fusion, see if the native app can sync, then reinstall agenda fusion and see if it works then. I don't know AF but I use Pocket Informant and it just uses the same databases as the default apps, but with a new shell. I suspect AF does the same.
