Power Management Profile App?

I want to know if anyone knows of an application that enables power management profiles on a ppc. This would be similar to what most notebooks have right now. For example, if I wanted to watch a movie I would have a profile I would select that would set the cpu to max, brightness to max, and not allow the screen or ppc to turn off in a set amount of time.

If there isn't somethings like this out there, why haven't they created it yet?

Thanks for the reply, but you seemed to have missed the whole reason why I asked this question.

I use my axim to perform numerous tasks, that require different power settings(cpu speed, brightness, auto power off).

Watching Movies, Guitar Tuner(Highest Setting)
Internet Explorer(Medium Setting)
Foreign Language Dictionaries(Low Setting)

I switch between these 5-10 times a day. One quick shortcut to automatically change these would reduce this 10 second task to under a second.

Why do people have today plugins? They could just get the same information in less than 10 seconds......right?

I really feel that it is long overdue for a ppc to have this sort of utility.

guess the closest thing that can come to that is those cpu overclocking programs, they have those cpu speed profiles 200mhz 400mhz etc and usually add a tray icon.

Setting the screen to stay on and stuff well that I dont know which program can do that.
