Can't seem to be able to get back to the Today Screen - Help

I can not get back to the Today screen. When I press today it stays on Programs.

Tap Start > Today and it should return.
Once there, go to Start > Settings > Buttons and see if that button (the Today button) has been reassigned.
Do you have another app open that reassigned the buttons ... like WMP in the background? Set it to unmap buttons in background.
If that doesn't do anything for you, try it again after a soft reset.

Soft reset and try to recreate the problem.

If it comes up again, detail more with what app you were in, if there are any navigational aids such as WISBAR or FACELIFT etc being used.

The soft reset did not work at first. For some reason something went wrong with one of the files tdy...jpg file. I simply recreated the file and that seem to help. Thanks everyone for your help.
