I downloaded and installed ok but there are little square blocks where text looks like it should have gone. Most folders show up with titles and a few have two dots under the folder.I may not be explaining this very clearly but not sure how to show a screenshot.Anyone experience this or is it normal?
Personally, I use Resco Explorer, but if I wasn't, I'd definitely be using GSFinder+ because I already love using GSPlayer and GSPocketMagic. The GS family of software is great and best of all, it's free!
One quirk with GSFinder+ I have run into is that when I try to connect to any one of the PCs in our network I get the message "Error connecting to resource: 53." I do not get this error when using File Explorer. Any suggestions?
I am also getting this decompression error, it unzips a few of the files and then stops.
Wow, sorry for the bum link guys! I unzipped the file on my desktop and had no problems with it (back in December).

I assumed that the 'e' indicated that this file contained the english user documentation (in the \manual folder). Does the other zip file have the english docs?

Yes, the 'E' must mean english because the docs are in english.
I cannot figure out how to connect to my network computers with this program.
file explorer is very easy, just click on the blue folder and type in the computer name.
I'm at a loss with this one.
What is Remote path and local name?
Everything I try doesn't work.
I have the same problem. File explorer works. GSFinder+ gives the message "Error connecting to resource: 53." I have tried every combination of paths I can think of.
Why was the original poster Banned from this site. Is this solfware safe?
He was banned at his reauest. He got into a tete-a-tete with one of the MODS which turned into a big ugly. After writing an open letter to Chris and requesting to be banned, he was. This software and our difficulties with it shouldn't reflect his feelings as they were primarily directed at the administrative staff and not the members.

I quoted myself to offer some additional information. I just installed Resco File Explorer and I had no problem accessing the other computers on our network. Network access seems to be a challenge with GSFinder+.

As one of my previous posts said, I was having the same problem. However, I was finally able to get it to connect to individual drives this way: Tap Files > Tools > Network Connect, for 'Remote' enter \\P3200\\C\ (substitute P3200 for the name of the computer to connect to on the network). This example will connect to drive 'C.' For 'Local name' I used 'P3200\C'. Tap OK. It then asks for the name and password. I just left these blank. Tap OK. Tap the 'Network' folder and you should have a folder for drive C.
This works, but it is a bit of a pain to have to repeat this process for each drive on the networked PC (\\P3200\\D\, \\P3200\\E\, etc.). I was not able to connect to the CD drive. Maybe someone on this forum knows how to access the networked PC without specifying the drives and is willing to share that information with us.
