rCE REMOTE DISPLAY is a freeware program which lets you display your PocketPC on your Windows PC Desktop.
You can also use your Desktop Keyboard and Mouse to enter data onto this display, as if you were using the popup PDA keyboard and the Stylus.
The program uses activesync to transfer data between your PPC and the desktop, so the connection has a slight lag.
To use it, just download the program from the above link and unzip the files.
Then copy the appropriate DLL file from either the ARM, MIPS, SH3 or SH4 folder into your PPC's Windows folder. It is a tiny file.
Then click on the execute the rCE.exe file on your Windows Desktop PC to run the program.
A small blank PDA sized screen will display on your PC monitor.
Click on "File" in the menu bar of this PDA screen, and select Options.
Set both Picture radio buttons to 24bit, to give you a high quality display on your PC.
Then make sure your PPC is connected to your desktop PC, and activesync is running, and select "Connect" from the "File" menu in rCE.
You should then see your PPC displayed on the PC screen.
You can now use either your Mouse and Keyboard to control the PPC, or you can control the PPC using your stylus, and see it change on the PC display.
The included readme.txt file is in Japanese, so this is why I gave you instructions above.
One potential use for this program is for screen captures. But I'm sure there are many other uses as well.
