How do I completely uninstall iMusic?

I installed the trial version of iMusic, liked it then bought and tried to install the upgrade. It wouldn't work and kept asking me to reinstall the trial to input the registration code. It just doesn't work and there's no way to input the code. When I try to completely uninstall the program it looks like everything is gone but I get a message everytime I turn on my Axim that says: "Cannot execute \Program Files\iMusic\iMusic.exe". I used Memaid to try to clean up any odd registry entries but it didn't help. How do I completely get rid of this thing?

By the way I've e-mailed the program's writer and Handango, who I bought it from. Not even an acknowledgement from either.

Try doing what Frenchy said; On your device open the file explorer and navigate to My Device > Windows > Startup folder and delete any reference to iMusic, It will probably have the same icon as iMusic did in your Progams folder.

HTH

Nothing there. I've done a file search through the PDA and there's no iMusic folder or programs with that full name. I figure it has to be a registry entry somewhere but I'm not familiar with the registry on the Axim so I don't know how to go into it to look for entries. I thought Memaid would find all useless entries. So either it didn't find it or it's something else. It's not affecting my Axim's operation as far as I can tell. It's just annoying to have to acknowledge the error message everytime I turn it on.

Well this is the program from Hell that won't go away. Maybe they should rename it Chuckie. I used PHM Regedit (a nice little program) to access the registry on my Axim. I found a couple of references to iMusic and the company that makes it (CITSOFT). I deleted those keys but the problem still happens. I'm gonna have to do a deeper search of the registry.

My biggest complaint is that I get no help from either CITSOFT or Handango who sold the program to me. The CITSOFT website hasn't been updated since 4/2004 so I guess they're just another fly by night operation. It's buyer beware. I'm more dissapointed with Handango who are in business but who can't even take the time to repsond to my questions. Well lesson learned.

I thank the above two who responded to my question but hasn't anyone else used this program?

I use iMusic daily. The interface is buggy at best and crap to be real or is that real crap?

But the quality of the music is the best I've found and I tried them all.

:soap: The quality of the music is the only reason I bought and continue to use this but I could write a bug list that goes on and on like that damn bunny.

Their site did a update a couple of weeks ago which fixed some problems but when I get a moment I'm gonna let them have it.

On my X30H I get 6-8 hours of music with the screen off using iMusic so the power drain with the equalizer on is pretty good.

My solution? Reinstall the trial version, ignore it as a waste of memory space and never buy from CITSOFT or Handango again.

I listen to Audible and/or WM all day (6-8 hours)with the screen dimmed. Of course I use an X5 which seems to have longer battery life.

Thanks for your comments.
