Pocket PC 2002 bug sometimes slows Pocket PC magazine, MS Reader version
I renewed my subscription for Pocket PC magazine, MS Reader edition, but I wanted to provide you some feedback. I am very pleased with the content of the magazine. However, there is a problem I am having with reading it on my Pocket PC. Every page turn uses additional memory. I read it on my laptop, because on my iPAQ 3800 I run out of memory and have to shut down MS Reader and start over to free up memory. I haven't had the problem with other eBooks. So, if there is anything that you can do to fix this bug, I would be most appreciative. After all, I would like to read Pocket PC magazine on my Pocket PC.

We are aware of the problem. It has to do with a Microsoft "memory leak" bug in Pocket PC 2002 MS Reader. It is not a problem in the original Pocket PC or in the desktop version of MS Reader. We are in communication with Microsoft, but they do not have a solution yet, other than to exit MS Reader completely, when page turning begins to slow down. On the iPAQ use iTask to exit, then restart it. This problem shows up in the MS Reader version of our magazine because of the many graphics we include. Many Pocket PC 2002 users do not have this problem, or report that they read a hundred pages or so, before the slowdown. We will refund the subscription fee to any user who has this problem and no longer wishes to receive the email edition.
