ewallet states that the Image files insert in the wallet are not encrypted. I might think of scanning some important documents and put it inside the wallet.
Does anyone know CodeWallet will encrypt the Images attached?

The following site gives a very detail comparison
http://www.jenneth.info/Wallet%20sof...0to%20head.htm
I am thinking of buying CodeWallet or eWallet.
It would be great if both of these can encrypt images file and also allow attachment of other documents like FlexWallet.
The drawback of FlexWallet are as follows:
1. No lock feature after numbers of incorrect password enter.
2. No alphanumeric for password entry

Thanks for that link. That chart is pretty good. From what I could tell it seems to point out that eWallet has the most pros and FlexWallet the most cons.

Just got a reply from CodeWallet saying that the picture and sound are encrypted with the card data.
Ewallet confirm that no encryption for both option that link or insert the picture.
So I will go for CodeWallet as I can safely insert some scan of my id and certificate. Surely there must be problem for inserting large files in the wallet and reduce the performance, but I will resize the image. It's better than none.

i haven't used a program like this before - just kept all the info in a password protected excel spreadsheet. beyond the UI, is there a tremendous benefit that justifies $30 for desktop & PPC version. also, why the need to scan cards and have a picture of them?
i read the entire head-to-head comparison review. a little repetitious, but very complete. the software looks easy to use, still can't get around the WHY?
anyone?

Good Point!
mastman, you bring up a very good point. I can't really think of a really good reason to have one of these programs compared to having a password protected spreadsheet other than the interfaces are pretty and make entering and organizing the information a bit easier. A spreadsheet is great, but sorting it and organizing it could be a pain. Although access to information in a spreadsheet is probably much quicker since it is all text and you can just scroll to the line you want. Anyone know what the security level is on an Excel passord?

mastman...maybe you can help me out as well. I first tried the password protected excel sheet. Once I hot sync'd, it asked me for my password so it could finish the sync - this was good. Next I opened the file on my desktop and edited it. I then did another hot sync so I'd have the latest on my axim. But when I opened it on my axim, a password was not required to open it.
Am I supposed to set the password every time I open and edit the file? How are you doing it?
If there is an easy way to make sure my data is secure, I would love to get out of buying one of these wallet softwares.

bstevenson - sorry, hadn't looked at this thread in a while and forgot to enable email notification. i encountered the same situation you described re: syncing of the excel file. i can't find a way around it. looks like an arguement in favor of wallet software. i still want to know why someone would want an image of credit cards, other than it looks cool.

I tried all three
So I downloaded the eWallet, FlexWallet, and CodeWallet. I went through each one and the eWallet is the prettiest one and FlexWallet is the least pretty/userfriendly. Although being able to make and edit my own templates with FlexWallet is a nice feature.
I have figured out a reason to have the images of your cards in your Axim. My grocery store (Smith's) uses those discount cards and they have a bar code on the back. I am going to scan that into my Axim and see if the card reader will read the barcode off of the Axim. Then I wouldn't have to carry that dumb card around with me. If only I could do that with my credit cards and swipe them with my Axim instead of having to carry them around.
CodeWallet and eWallet seem to be very similar. So I think it will be a toss up for me between those two in the end.

PDA Defense Professiona/Standard(TM)
I read a lot here about eWallet and FlexWallet. However, I did some investigation on the Internet and found "PDA Defense". Regarding their description, this software looks pretty good to me, also due to the quality of encryption.
Does anyone have any experience with that appl ?
