I just changed the look to my axim today screen with the wisbar and dashboard programs, and it feels brand new. I want to get new sound effects for screen taps, alarms, openning programs, sinc, etc.

Does anyone know what software to use or how to do this?

Any WAV files can be copied into the \Windows folder on the Axim and then selected for different events by going to START - SETTINGS - SOUNDS and NOTIFICATIONS - Notifications tab.

Applian makes a utility to help change the sounds, and makes profiles for them. But you can also change them yourself by adding sounds you wish to use by copying to the windows directory. But Pocket PC only allows a few changes to sound notifications. You can change all of them yourself if you use the Desktop explorer and go to Folder properties and select "show hidden file" then in the windows directory on the Pocket device and you shall see .wav files. name the sounds you wish to use the same as the files names in the windows folder. and that is all there is to it. if you dont like the sounds you are then using either change to sounds you like or just delete the files and reset the device and the Pocket PC OS will reload the now missing files.

There is a sound program called Soundz Cool on Handandgo. I use it from my pc and it works great, you can change all the sounds on your pocket pc
