Hmm my X5 burns battery searching for wireless networks!!

I have a Netgear CF wireless card with PPC2003 on my X5 standard.

I never leave the Netgear card plugged in anymore because it turns on automatically and hours later kills the battery.

Are there advanced settings I can configure so it Scans for a wireless signal only when it detects the presence of a wireless card??

Thanks everyone & Happy Holidays!!!

Consider the compact flash power on registry hack? I think it would let you turn off the card on power up. Other than that I dont think you can prevent your card from scanning.. I just leave mine blinking..

It does use more power when its scanning I think its the full 250ma instead of the 100ma standby or somehting.
