My Axim 5 arrived on Monday. I have been able to download spreadsheets to it, but have not been able to move MP3 files to it. I created a folder called My Music on the Axim. Then, on my PC, using Explorer, I have copied an MP3 file and pasted it to the folder on the Axim. The copying pop-up window displays, but when its done - no file on the Axim. (I have not yet installed any additional memory, but I've only downloaded 3 small spreadsheets)

I don't understand this problem - any assistance would be appreciated.

Did you check on your axim physically or refresh your explorer window? If it says it is complete, your explorer window may not have refreshed to the new files.

Yes, checked both the Axim File Explorer and from my desktop system. Even clicked 'Refresh'. Nothing their.

I'm not sure that the file transfer was complete, but the pop-up copying window disappeared after a minute or 2, so I figured it was done. No 'Completed' message.

Is there a time-out setting anyplace?

Normally when I copy vid files from my PC to the PPC, I don't get a completed message. But the file copying window does show that the files are being transfered. Are you using ActiveSync 3.6? I'm not too positve on the time-out setting. But your spreadsheets are going through. Your case doesn't seem to be like any other who have trouble copying large files. Like here:

A USB hub may help you or a card reader, but that's more money to invest in if you want to.
