HP has a free application, HP Mobile Printing, for Pocket PCs, allowing you to print directly from Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, Pocket Internet Explorer, Pocket Outlook, and File Explorer. It also works with Westtek® ClearVueT viewing software for printing desktop PC-format Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents on your Pocket PC. This application works with Bluetooth, infrared and network printers.
I downloaded the software and got an error "A required .DLL file
OLEACC.DLL IS MISSING" Do I have to reinstall a driver somewhere somehow. Also does anyone know if you have to buy the Westtek software for the HP software to work??
Thanks in advance for your advice...

The Westtek viewers aren't required for HP Mobile Printing, but are really nice to have anyway. I don't even have an oleacc.dll file on my device, and HP Mobile Printing works just fine. Did you install the app to main memory? - it won't work properly otherwise.
Also you have to make sure yo install it in the proper order. HP has the directions on their site. Once you get this software installed. You are going to love it.

Thought I should mention that if you use Cerience Repligo, there's an update you can download from their site which allows you to use hp mobile printing from within Repligo, allowing a lot more options.
Well, I guess HP finally figured out that they were giving away something that they could possibly sell. All the links to their print driver, http://hp.com/go/pocketpcprint , no longer work. I cannot seem to find the version 2.0 or higher anywhere. I want to buy Resco File Explorer 5.31 and it says it uses this version (but does not supply the driver).
Since they used to give it away, and as such it should not be considered theft of software to ask, I would like to ask if anyone knows of a working link or is willing to PM or email their copy to me. I'm not asking for an illegal copy -- just the one they used to give away.
Cheers,
Dobermann

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately, looks are deceiving. When you actually try to follow the links, it's dead (the "download software" link). Here is what they have to say about it in the description column:
Quote:
Since 1992, HP has been committed to delivering a high-quality, complete printing experience for customers using mobile devices. Because customers can use similar mobile printing software offerings (see list, below) that are compatible with Pocket PC and Windows Mobile OS platforms, HP has decided to focus on other areas of its mobile printing and imaging strategy where solutions may not be so readily available. As a result, HP will discontinue HP Mobile Printing for Pocket PC and HP Mobile Printing SDK for Pocket PC, effective October 1, 2005. Any current customers / developers may receive basic phone support for six months thereafter, with all support for these products ending on April 1, 2006.
Alternative printing software for Pocket PC devices can be found at:
That link to Resco File Explorer you just posted claims it includes HP Mobile Printing.
I am installing it now to see if it really is in there and how it works.
I don't think it does, but please let us know. I say that cause when I contacted Resco about the broken link, I was told that they could no longer link to it on HPs site, which is what started this whole problem.
Let's hope I'm wrong, though!
