Spirit backup software question

I have my Spirit software backing up my x50v every morning just before i wake up.
Every morning I have to reactivate the switcher bar.

Is there anyway I can set the switcher bar to remain active after a backup is done?

How about just adding Switcher Bar to start up?

If you set Sprite to restart after the backup finished you can put a shortcut in the windows startup folder that will load the program at each start. There was a thread here sometime long time ago with all the details, but thats the essence of the fix.

Good luck

In ActiveSync

Explore Device > My Pocket PC > Windows

Right click "SwitcherBar.exe" and copy. Go up and open StartUp folder. Right click and "Paste shortcut". A .lnk file should be added to the Windows/StartUp folder.

SwitcherBar would always be available after each soft reset.

You could do the same using File Explorer as well. Whichever is more convenient to you.

Is it necessary for Sprite to soft reset? I got it a few days ago and was having it back up daily at 11pm but this morning my battery was at 0% Maybe it didn't turn itself off - and if that's the case then I need to make sure I just use the manual backup option.

The reason I ask (and BTW, sorry for hijacking your thread ) is that PocketMon disappears after a soft reset and requires a trip to the Today screen (don't do nothin' just go there and click OK) to get PocketMon back on the screen.

I made some screen shots that illustrate.

screen1a.jpg after soft reset - PocketMon is not visible
screen2a.jpg a few seconds after going in and out of the Today screen - PocketMon is not visible but the location for it has been drawn
screen3a.jpg a few seconds later - PocketMon is visible but it has kinda hosed my wallpaper.

The fine folks at Sprite software are not nearly as good (read: responsive) as some developers (Amit@SBSH comes quickly to mind), even on their own forum so I thought I'd post here and see if a grass-roots approach has a better effect.
