Microsoft Money Password

I have Microsoft Money 2003 on both PC & Axim.

Syncs fine, etc...

One problem...I have a password set on the Axim and it's supposed to prompt me for it every time I run the program, but it doesn't.

If I set the password and soft reset, it asks for the password...but after that it doesn't.

Anybody else have this problem or am I overlooking something obvious?

Hi. I just got Money 2002 for PPC installed on my axim and it looks like I'm having the same problem. I found that it will prompt me for a password only the first time I open Money 2002 on the Axim after syncing. After I open it once and then use it for a bit then go back to it, it never asks for the password again. Do you think it is because the program is still running? I can't seem to find a way to shut the program down completely. Do you know how?

To check what apps are running on an out-of-the box Ax, go to Start|Settings|System and click the Switcher Bar icon. You'll see three small icons at the top middle of your screen. Click the one on the left. From here you'll see what's running and can choose to close the apps.

Yes, what Steven is referring to is the fact that Money, nor any other programs, close when you tap on the X in the upper right corner. Doing this just minimizes them so that if you open the program again, it will take you back to where it was when you closed it. Doing a soft reset does close all open programs which is why it will ask for your password after a reset.

Besides doing the Switcher bar procedure Steven described, you can get some second part add on programs that will actually close your programs. Icbar is a favorite of the users on AximSite.

Any idea where I can get a copy of Money 2002 for the Axim?

PPC Version 2004 won't work with Money 2002 for the PC and I won't upgrade for other reasons. Thanks
