Pocket Excel not saving format

Hi,
I copied my desktop version of excel with some formatting (merged cells, Grayed cells, etc) into my Axim. When i opened it in axim, all the formating was lost. When I synced it back to the desktop the formatting was not preserved.

Anybody came up with a better alternative to pocket excel or have any clue to atleast make it not loose the formatting?

Planmaker is a good alternative. It's a little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion.

If you only need to view the document and not edit it on your PPC, Repligo is great. It allows you to view PDF's, web pages and MS Office documents (anything that can be printed, in fact) for easy viewing on your Pocket PC without losing the formatting.

Clearview Suite is another document viewer.

I have not heard of a patch for pocket excel. While I know that PlanMaker is expensive, I am very impressed with the things it can do. It really is a mini-Excel.

This does not help you now, but later this year, watch for SoftMaker's annual November sale. I'm not sure how many years they've done this, but they put their software on sale for $11.11 ea on November 11. I bought TextMaker for that, but wasn't bright enough to buy PlanMaker that day. However, as a TextMaker user, I was able to buy PM at a reduced cost. Essentially, I got both for about the cost of one.
