When I got my Axim, the first thing I wanted to do when I got online was check my email. Unfortunately, AOL.com is not PIE compatible. I check the AOL downloads site, and found the following:

-->AOL 2.0.55 for PPC 2003 -- $19.95. This allows you to send and recieve email and IM.
-->AIM 2.0 for PPC 2002 -- $19.95. This allows you to IM.

Seeing how I pay so much for AOL to begin with, I refuse to give them more of my hard-earned money. Fortunately, I have found ways around this.

To check your email:
Option #1: Go on an international AOL site. For example, to use AOL Australia, type THIS EXACT URL: "https://my.screenname.aol.com/_cqr/login/login.psp?siteId=vatlasaol-au" . Without the siteId parameter, it will NOT connect. Also, if you put it in your mobile favorites, that parameter will be lost. Gotta type it in every time.
Option #2: Use outlook! Click here for detailed instructions. One change though: you can't change the SMTP port in Pocket Outlook, so instead, type this for the SMTP server: smtp.aol.com:587. Now you can send and receive AOL email for free! You can even get your spam and 'saved on aol' messages. Works great!

To IM:
Instead of downloading the US version of AIM, download the UK version! You can get it here. Not only does it let you IM, but you can retrieve stocks and news headlines as well.

In summary, you can get you AOL stuff on the go legally and for free! :approve: I hope this helps someone out!
