Sorry, last call was 15 minutes ago.
Range isn't determined by the Program, but by your Device's Ir Output LEDs and the power available to "push" the signal out.
If you have an X5, then you need to get a CF Ir Extender Card. All other Axim Models have both IrDA
and Consumer Ir LEDs and have plenty of output ability.
I can point my X5 w/PDAwin (and an Extender), 180°
away from my HT (at a plain-jane white plaster wall..........line-of-sight I get 30',
easy) and it still controls everything, without flaw.
On the other hand, if your batt is low, the Ir signal will be weak. Kinda like a flashlight in it's death-throes.
