wisbar adv. 2 and Pocket Plus?

Iv been running Visbar advance 2 for a while and kinda liked it. Today i dicided to install Pocket Plus as well. Not a good idea. After a soft reset my X50v freezed up (this happened when i set visbar to launch on startup). I had to do a hard reset and reinstall everything.

Could there be a combability problem between Visbar advance 2 and Pocket Plus?

Make sure that you don't have both program set to replace the Close button.

think i figured out what the problem was. Im on my 4th hard reset in a row now, removing 1 program at the time. Seems to be an unstable ver of pocket breeze that locks up everything when i go to real VGA.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with WA2 until they get the X50v problems worked out.

I probably did 15 hard resets last night (got to sleep aqround 7 in the morning). Actually i had no problem with WBa2 itself it was the skins that screwed everything up. I noticed similar problems when using sertin VGA skins on Pocketbreeze.

1. All the problems presented their self after switching over to real VGA and doing soft reset.

2. Only noticed the problems when using skins fron Juni (i love his skins though).

3. After soft reset through Se_VGA everything locked up. Seems like the buttons on WBa2 and Pocketbreeze didnt load. Had to do a hard reset reset.

So, is anyone using some of Junis VGA skins (for example Gnome) on WBa2 or pocketbreeze, and are able to go into real VGA, i would realy liuke to know. Maybe i have to change some settings?

now im running a VGA skin on Pocketbreeze and having no problems at al.

I gave up on Wisbar as it was freezing my X30 now and then and purchased Battery Pack Pro. I found this one more convenient and it does not freeze the PPC. Wisbar is a very nice utility program and I whished it would run better. Maybe the next version!

I visit the Wisbar forums regularly. They keep coming out with additional beta versions, and tons of problems are being reported. Evidently, this is a very difficult program to develop. I've been waiting for a long time to see if they can create a stable program, but I'm about ready to give up on it.

Part of the problem is with certain programs, you need to use QVGA themes/icons with VGA hacks.
Also, with PocketBreeze, you need to tell it in the options that you are using a VGA hack.
If you have any problems with it, go to SBSH.net and post in the forums.
Amit, the programmer, will usually respond within 30 minutes.
If you don't believe me, check out his response times--there isn't a more responsive software developer on the planet.

I use WBA2 with no problems--however I don't use "real VGA" mode. I do use Juni's VGA "Black & White" skin.

I am running the latest stable release of WBA2, .10 I think.

I have had issues with Wisbar freezing, but not the software's fault. I use Juni's WARoyale skin, and it only has skins for portrait, not landscape mode. So when I forget and try to switch to landscape (something I rarely do) I screw everything up, because there is nothing for the program to display. I wonder if everyone else switching to VGA mode is having the same issue.

Other than my self-inflicted pains, I love SPB Pocket Plus ans WA2. They work great together, and I love my GUI.

I don't use VGA hacks, so this doesn't have anything to do with the many problems I've had with WA2.

Had Wisebar Advance 2 installed for a couple weeks, used Juni black and white, but just removed it yesterday, got tired of it and the problems, really need to use the X50V and not just look at it and say "how pretty" so I went back to a basic black background with the tools I need to see my schedule and programs quickly.
