What happens when you try to connect? Error messages?

Have you installed and properly set up the FTP plugin component of Resco? Do you tap&hold on the new FTP site name in tree view, then tap Connect? Is your web connection working for other types of data transfer?

There is an error message...

FTP server does not respond:
550 CWD failed.
"C:/ftproot": directory not found.

Sorry, that's beyond me. I've never had any success in networking home networked computers anyway, and gave up trying months ago. Adding the complexities of dynamic IP addresses and firewalls and such would just seem miserably difficult, if those are factors in your situation. My ISP's FTP server has a static IP, making it dead simple to connect. Wouldn't your home PC be dynamic? Or perhaps not, as I've read that one can configure a static IP... Anyway, good luck.

well I have my server set up as a Web server/FTP server so it has a domain name as well.

External I have a dynamic IP...Internal there is a static IP.

Is there another program that would allow me to connect to an FTP server?

FtpView is awesome, but limited to one file drag&drop at a time, no folder or multi-file transfers. SuperExplorer is the shareware version sold through Applian, with added features like tap&hold and auto-sliding tree views when dragging... FtpView is freeware. Just install from the CAB appropriate for your device, meaning not 'colour PPC' but rather the ARM version. Lots of versions in that ZIP file.

Cambridge makes an FTP server for the PPC, and also a couple of FTP clients. They're at cam.com.

I think ScottyFTP might still be available from RukSun, but that program stank. I was very upset with them after laying out cash for it in 2000 and seeing so very many erors and really laughable support.

There are probably others. I know Dan East's old DXplor offered plugins like Resco does now, for ZIP and for FTP and registry editing. It might still be available somewhere. Never had much luck making the main program work to my liking, so I didn't purchase it which would have enabled the plugins.
