ActiveSync - No response from mobile device...
My Axim has been synching fine with ActiveSync 3.5 since I got it in early January. After I installed PocketInformant 4, some of the features in that app caused my Axim to freeze. I had to reset it to restore its function. Synchronizing continued to work fine. A few days later, I removed ActiveSync 3.5 and installed ActiveSync 3.6. It worked fine for a few days. Then, after it began to sync it would check every category OK and show how many items needed to be synchronized, but would pause at the end and give me the message: "There was no response from your mobile device while checking for out-of-date Appointments." I uninstalled ActiveSync and reinstalled it and it works fine - the first time. Subsequent attempts to sync result in the above error message.
I'm using my cradle to sync. I've also tried the travel cable and it gets the same results. I've uninstalled PI4 and reinstalled PI3. Same results. I've uninstalled ActiveSync 3.6 and reinstalled 3.5. Same results. I've removed every item type I can to synchronize with and receive the same results only it tells me that there's no response while checking for out-of-date xxxx where "xxxx" is appointments, calendar, inbox, etc. - you get the idea.
If anyone has run into this type of problem I would certainly appreciate your feedback as to what the cause may be. I have not performed a hard reset on my device - only soft ones. Thanks for your time in reading all of this and your suggestions.
