Hi, I'm kind of new to the whole backup process. I know many of you have recommended using Sprite to back-up your data. Do you know of any cheaper backup alternatives to Sprite? Is it possible to back-up files to a location other than the built in memory or SD card? I think I'd be fine just backing up to my PC in case something goes wrong with the Axim. Also, I have the majority of my programs on my SD card...What is the best way to do a backup of these programs so that they may be quickly restored if something goes wrong? I appreciate any help...If these have been addressed in other threads, please redirect me - I did a search and posted this question previously but couldn't find the answers I needed. Thanks.

Sprite Backup is probably your best option. It will allow you to back up the contents of your SD and CF cards to your PC, or do a backup of RAM to Builtin Storage (assuming that you can fit it into the 64mb of BIS). Sprite will backup to pretty much anywhere -- BIS, SD, CF, or your PC.

Should I go with the Standard Sprite version or the premium edition for $29.95?

The big difference is the ability to back up to a PC -- Premium edition lets you do this, Standard does not. IMHO it's worth the difference, although some folks use the Standard edition to backup to a SD or CF card and then just copy the backup file to a PC.

So the non-premium edition does just what the Dell built in program does--back up to the card or BIS?
I decided to suck it up and by the Sprite Premium Edition. Where should I install this? SD card, Built-in Memory, Main-Memory? Where did you guys install it?
