First Download the file to your desktop, Then copy the file from the desktop to your Pocket PC's My Documents folder. Now click on the file. That's all you need to do.

Just click on the zip file once its on your pocket pc and it will self execute. I had the same problem because I wanted to unzip it on my desktop and copy over the files, but nothing would happen.

The website said it was a .cab file. I knew I should have downloaded it.

If one of those four files end in arm.cab or xscale.cab transrfer the xcale one to your Ax. If xscale isn't an option use the .arm one.

I am going to download it know from the developers site and see whats up. < sigh >

The .cab files at the developers site work fine. If you have a VGA device use the hires file. a QVGA device uses the ARM/Xscale .cab file.

Which Ax are you using?

Thanks all for your kindness. It's for a friend of mine who owns a Dell X50V.
I'll do this now: take all the zipped block and copy/paste it to its pda. Then launch it. And let's see what will happen.

Cool...I forgot about this program...so it is safe?

Also...is there some where I can lock my PDA? The only time I have to put in my password is when I turn on my Axim...but I want to lock it if I were to walk away...

I instaled it on my X50v. The display off function is the only one I tested. The info at the developers site says it does what you want segadc.

I just did the simple 4 digit and strong alphanumeric password lock. It shut off the device after the specified time I don't think that's what you want though segadc. Anything else anyone needs tested?

Thanks Don't Panic! for your help.:) Yeah...I want to be able to lock it without turning it off. I wasn't expecting this particular program to do it... Maybe I should suggest it to them...

I used to use the alpha password lock but it got annoying when I turn my X5 on while walking. Now I just use the 4 digit since it is quicker...

If you don't mind spending $9.90 TranCreative's Nice Start definitely does what you want.

Wow...nice find! I am not sure I need it that bad where I have to pay for it. However, this does give me the option.

One thing About Nice Start. It really does not like VGA Screens at the moment. QVGA only, X50v owners need not apply.

There is lock button! It's the key...next to the clock...when you have the Shutdown screen up!
