Betaplayer site down? need asx (wmv) plugin

I have tried to get to the betaplayer site for the last few days with no luck. I wanted to get the asx (windows media player) plugin, so I can play WMV files with betaplayer. Any ideas where I can get the plugin for betaplayer .5?

The asx plug-in is built into the latest versions. There's an alternate download site but I can't find it right now.

Alternate site: http://picard.exceed.hu/betaplayer

On X50v you can't play WMV files with BetaPlayer (same as on other WMP10 device). The asf plugin is not compatible with the new WMP codecs, only WMA playback possible.

So there is no way to play WMV file by having beta player on X50V? Without beta player, i can play WMV file by using WMP10.

I use a program called etivo to download and automatically encode TV shows from my tivo to wmv format (it doesn't convert to divx yet). The quality is good, but I like betaplayer because you can use the skip feture to do a 30 second skip, press it 6 times or so and you are done with the commercials. With WMP 10 you have to fast forward, then rewind, etc. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to be able to skip when playing WMV files.

Any other programs that play WMV files and allow skipping or is WMP 10 the only one that will play WMV on the X50v?

I have a Panasonic DMR E100 desktop DVD-R/RAM unit that lets me burn TV shows directly to my
SD cards. It lets me record from my hard drive to the SD card in MPEG-4 format. (MPEG2 to MPEG4)
This file will play on my x50v and my PC but won't get any sound

The MPEG-4 file has a .ASF file extension which requires the Sharp G726 Audio Codec
While trying to play the file on my PC, Windows Media player came with an error saying
I needed a specific codec. It send me to a Japanese site where I found SHARP-G726(J).exe.
This has solved the problem on the PC but am still in need of something that will work on my x50v.

Any ideas?
