still searching for pdf answer

On here, i've been told that adobe acrobat reader is a good pdf reader, but only works in true vga.

Then i was told that true vga requires 3rd party software.

Is there a pdf reader that works with the x50v without having to be in true vga and without needing additional software, other than the pdg reader?

http://www.cerience.com/products/index.htm has a free trial, converts PDF files very well. Looks good on a PDA. Worth $29.95? Your decision.

You can perform the VGA resource hack on acrobat and it works much better in "normal" VGA mode. Overall, acrobat for ppc is still not a very good program...adobe is way behind the curve with their handheld software. I prefer using Repligo on mine, but the app to make the compatible documents is not free.

I am lazy, I use acrobat reader. No other software (vga or other) required. Installed fine to my CF card and works good enough for the 4-5 PDF files I need to access every month. Good luck~

Adobe Reader 2.0 seems to crash my Axim

Well I found me seeing my Axim doing a hard reset after I tried to close a pdf file. It's true that AR2.0 is not the best pdf viewer for WM2003SE but it's free. After installing new software and tested my Axim a little more (I'm not a pda genius as many appears here) I resolve to give another try with AR2.0. So far, nothing bad happened. I'll write later on actual performance.

I'v Been using AR 2.0 on my X50mid with no problems at all. Using it as an eBook reader and never had to reset once.

Anybody able to read a DRMed pdf file? I and other people get "license expired" types of messages when opening protected files (e.g. ebooks bought off of Amazon), even ones that have no expiration. Check Adobe's support forum for the sordid soap opera...
