Introduction
.NET VNC Viewer is a VNC viewer written entirely in C#. It is binary compatible with Smartphones, Pocket PCs and Windows desktops (with .NET Compact Framework or .NET Framework). I write this mainly because other VNC viewers on Pocket PC do not do full screen and screen rotation.

VGA-mode (480*640)

Of course, basic VNC viewer functionalities.
Full screen mode.
Screen rotation.
Session history.
Hi-Res support for VGA Pocket PCs and QVGA Smartphones.

Feb 6, 2005 - I patched .NET VNC Viewer 1.0.0 to utilize hi-res (640x480) screens of some Windows Mobile 2003 SE devices. Get a copy at the Download section and try it out if you have one of those lovely Pocket PCs. Please note that there is no custom logic to detect a hi-res screen, so the UI may not be pretty but it should work (at least on my emulator it does). "

Is this a replacement for the included MS remote desktop client?

Or is MS Remote Desktop a different animal than VNC?

It's a replacement sorta... Remote Desktop/Terminal Services will shut off the local display, whereas with VNC both the host and remote can see what is going on (lots of fun when the user isn't expecting a visitor). VNC is also multiplatform and usually a tiny application.

sweet, awesome work man, will test it out later today. How fast is it with refreshing? I am using NetOp right now and it is fast.

I installed .NET VNC Viewer but am unable to connect to my UltraVNC Server. The server was using an encryptiong plug-in that requires a key on the client but I knew to disable that before trying the viewer.

My problem may be to do with Username and password. My UltraVNC Server running on a Windows XP Home machine request a username and password when a client connect. The .NET VNC Viewer only has a password field. Any ideas anyone?

Haven't had a chance to build my test platform but was wondering if this client is compatible with VNC 4??? How about backward compatibility?
