Does this software exist? OR help me write it
I actually have 2 pocket pc's now with broken digitizers.
Having seen the mouse pointer that the new Ipaq's have, I wonder if there is any software that would allow me to use my directional pad to position an on screen cursor, and click the center button to tap.
Ideally there would be some acceleration as well, but I wonder if this would be trivial to implement.
If anyone knows of software like this, or can point me in the right direction to finding out how to interpret dpad button pushes and/or control Windows Mobile's onscreen mouse cursor that would be great.
Thanks in advance, nosatalian

Has anyone tried this? I loaded it and tried on my X30, and while it would work, it was slow and made my screen go crazy (like snow on a tv). Removed it but was wondering if there is something I'm missing?

Same here !! I use it all the time.. It has an options setting that you can change the pointer speed..

When you start D-Mouse Pad, a mouse icon will appear on the bottom taskbar.. When you tap it, a menu will popup with one of the choices being "settings"... The 3rd tab, (settings 3) will have the Speed / acceleration setting !!!

My last post wasn't exactly correct !! The icon for the D-Pad Mouse shows at the bottom task bar.. On my old Toshiba e740, it was a mouse icon, but different on my x50v..
The attached pic shows the mouse pointer pointing to the tray icon, and the popup menu when tapped !! I'm also attaching the zip file containing the apps .exe & .dll files.. The .exe can be placed anywhere, and the .dll file goes in the Windows dir....
Let me know if it works !! Works great on my x50v !!
Enjoy :approve:

Thanks ! The Today screen is all TodayPlus, with my own skin creation.. That pic is part of my weather page.. The icons on the taskbar are put there by PHM TrayLaunch, which is part of PHM Tools, a Great Freeware app !!
As for the snowy screen, I'm not sure !!
It is possible that the problem is a conflict with another running app.. Do you have other apps running at the same time ? If so, try to shut down one at a time until you see the problem go away.. Try that, and let me know what happens....

That's good that you got it to work !! I don't use sevga, so I can't help with a fix.. I use VGA Brute Force, which is part of Tweaks2k2, if I want to convert an app to VGA !!
