WA2 slows down X50v.

I stopped using WA2 because it slows down my beautifully upgraded X50v.

Is this the case with everybody?
I wish Microsoft would put that kind of option in the OS (changing skins).

My x50v is very fast with WA2 - do you have the latest version of WA2 ?(v 2.0.1.18)

Older versions notoriously had problems with the x50v

I know some reported slowdown due to WA2, but I don't have the problem on mine.

I agree with the point... why doesn't MS have skinable task bars? I would really just love that feature to top off my today screen.

Where did you have it installed? If loaded in BIS memory, it will operate slower than if installed into Main Memory.

I also agree with the original post. I tried a few times to install WA2 resulting in a slight speed reduction. Something like 75mph to 71mph - small but noticeable. I also didn't like the way the menu required me to scroll through all the software I have installed to get to the end of the alphabet programs. I tried a few times because I really like the look and skins but, it's not worth the speed reduction and the menu thing as described. Anyone else agree?

Exactely my point. I'm very picky when it comes to my speed... even a small amount makes a difference to me!

You can use the original start menu if you don't like the cascading menus.

Yes I do notice a small speed difference but to me it is so slight that it doesn't bother me. Besides it is the only way to have skinned bars which I won't give up. :) There are also changes that you can do to make the start menu speed up. Just depends on what your willing to do.
