Hmm HP Mobile Printing trouble

I've installed the HP mobile printer into main main memory.

But EVERY TIME I try to print I get an INTERNAL ERROR #3017 in the print manager dialog box.

HP said it was a setting in my AXIM, but wouldn't tell me which one.

I've tried an IR printer, a network printer at work. I've also tried the printer on my home network.

At work, it's a domained network, and that might be the problem...

But at home, using 802.11b I can browse the internet and I can browse the shared folders on my wifes XP home computer (\\MOM). I know I have set the printer share settings correctly, since all the computers in the house use this printer.

I've even tried using the IP address instead of the server name. In every case I get the same error.

For some reason printing seemed to be an after thought on the PPCs.

Just about the only thing I haven't tried is a bluetooth or a USB printer.

Found it

I had seen in the bug list that Batter Bar pro could keep it from working so I removed it and tried again.. Still it didn't work.
So I removed Journel bar... Now it works....
Darn... Journel bar BY FAR is my favorite program.

The final word on this

I re-installed both Journel bar and Battery Pack Pro.
I then when to the Settings > Today >Items and removed the check from the boxes to disable them.

Printing worked fine.

So if I need to print, I just have to disable these TODAY screen features, print, then re-enable.

FANTASTIC!!

Had similar problem with Wizbar Advance II on my X50v - when I disabled it from launching at startup, printing worked. I tried various settings in WA, but without joy.

As I use WA far more than printing, ended up un-installing the hp printing - also saves me tops of memory too.

Thanks for tip about BATTERY bar! I tried disabling it but am still getting the #3017 error.

I have turned High Information Logging on in the Print Manager and get the following lines as part of the error log
"Open failed for \Windows\mPrintPSA.dll" also "NULL printer returned from CreateDC <hpmpescp.dll>" followed by a timeout error.
I cant find mPrintPSA.dll on my device but there is a mPrintDPA.dll, I have tried renaming this to mPrintPSA.dll but printing still didn't work.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Anyone have any ideas on a printing program that will play nice with the software that I want to be able to use?
