Best Backup Software?

After a couple of unexpected hard resets, I am ready to try some backup software. Which one is best IYHO?

Sprite Backup Premium Edition is my backup app of choice. I have used it for years now and it is awesome!

You can backup to your PC or even to a memory card on your PPC. The backups can be stored as .exe files so that if you are not near a PC and want to restore your backup you can.

This is a very handy program to have.

I have the sprite backup premium, but I will have to be honest. Unless you are a bit of a travel freak and do not have your laptop nearby or can not remember to backup. The sprite program is a bit of overkill. The activesync backup utility works just fine for free. In fact I even believe it is a bit more stable than Sprite.

.
.

HERE's how I have my Sprite Premium configured.

In my BIS I only have a most basic backup. Just enough to get my Axim back in a useable state, for me. If I were to have to use the OEM Configuration of the Axim......I would have to revert back to Complete Newbie Stage. I have no idea how to navigate in an OEM PPC Configuration.

My "Basic Configuration" contains User Info, SnoopSoft DashBoard (configured) and GigaBar (configured). These are the changes to the OEM Config that I have used on every PPC I've owned. Like I said, without them......I AM Lost! So I know I can always get back to something I can use, but since I rarely remove my SD Card, should I need to, I can always go back one or two days for a Restore.

And I copy my SD Card (via a card reader), to my PC and Laptop once a week.

Never had to use it yet, on my X5 400/A04. But just happy to know it's there if I need it.

Sprite is the best. I did experiment with the built-in backup utility in my X50v, and it worked, too.

But, I only really trust Sprite.

I've had reliability problems with the built-in utilities and also find that Sprite is MUCH faster! It takes me about 3 minutes to complete a backup/restore. Also, Sprite's self-executing restore feature is invaluable.

You can use the Dell App if you like.. And you can use the Dell Slip case if you like...

As for me I'm using Sprite and a Proporta Alu case.
I like think they both give better protection :)

I am new to this, but Sprite has my vote as well.
Already had to use it, hehe.

I have just looked at your Sprite Backup configuration and I have a question about your scheduling. I would love to do what you are doing, but I don't know how to get my Axim to turn on at the appropriate time.

Sprite will wake up the PDA to perform the backup, no need to worry about that; I only wish it would shut off after the backup was complete!
