Alternative development tools?

I am new to development on the PPC and have a couple of questions.

I am looking for an alternative development tool THAT ISN'T FROM MICROSOFT. I have seen a few but I am having a hard time locating any tools to evaluate.

I'd like to be able to redistribute my applications so I need the ability to have either an all in one executeable or a helper file and the code file.

I’d suggest you try Pocket C#. It’s free, has its own IDE that can be run from a pocket pc, and uses C# as the main programming language. Another benefit is that you can create an executable.

Anything else out there that is more along the lines of a RAD environment?

Have you tried PrimalCode from Sapien ?
