mem maid start up service question...

how do you add a start up service with mem maid? all I can do is delete them. I deleted my infra-red obxsrvr.dll service and now I can't add it again which means I can't receive any ir beams anymore. Thanks.

Try tapping Start - Settings - Connections - Beam and then check "Receive all incoming beams."

Thanks for the info... That was the first thing I did. It still doesn't work. I know it's caused by me deleting the OBEX start up service... I just want to know if there is a way to get it back since mem maid wont let me add any start up services.

These guys are REALLY helpful. It is because of these types of assists and posts from this company that I bought memaid and I would definately recommend every ppc owner at least try the program and see if they want to buy it.

Ok,
Just give us a day or so and we'll tell you how to get this service back.

Hi revhigh,
Here you go
- Download the attached file
- unzip it
- transfere the OBEX.exe into your PocketPC (any where is fine)
- run it from there
- now you can delete the OBEX from your device
- run MemMaid and check for the OBEX service
- SoftReset and test your IR services

please let us know

Please don't download it and run it if you're not revhigh or if you don't have his problem.

Edit: attchment has been removed

Got it, that worked like a charm. My PPC can be detected again by others. Thanks alot. You can remove the download now if you want to, I won't be deleting the OBEX start up service again... :approve:
