Pocket Informant 2005 vs. Agenda Fusion 7.1

Hi,

I am a long time user of Pocket Informant. I have recently been using the trial version of Agenda Fusion 7.1. They are very similar, and both are great applications. However, I am hoping I can get a list of opinions on which application that people prefer (and why).

Thanks for all your help. :approve:

I can't give you a comparison of the two products as I've never used Agenda Fusion. Based on reviewing many other threads you'll definitely like either one. I use Pocket Informant 2005(free upgrade) and love the features. I'll never even come close to using all of the features. What sold it for me is the template function. I have the same scheduled events that reoccur irregularly. The template function makes it very easy to input those events.

It may be a more helpful thread for you if you post the exact items you want from a new PIM program.

Thanks for the opinions so far. The one thing I noticed about Agenda Fusion was that it has a "today view" that is a bit different than PI. It is actually laid out a lot like Pocket Breeze. I thought it looked pretty neat. It also has a project view, but I am not sure that I would use that very much.

I have used PI for a while now, but I am sure that I do not use it to it's full capability.

Keep the opinions coming. :approve:

I have installed both Agenda Fusion 7.1 and Pocket Informant 2005 and I have found that Agenda Fusion is noticable slower than Pocket Informant.

I have them both in BIS at the moment and that may account for the slowness of AF....but looking at the features and how they work, I think I prefer Pocket Informant anyway.

Everytime I install AF, the number of soft resets go up. Not sure what it is, but very annoying. On the other hand, I love PI and have been very happy with it. I actually use it and Pocketbreeze. Great combination.

I have been using PI since day one, like many others, I have not use PI to its full potentials. What I like best in PI is the capabilities of using different ways as a display, ie. icon display (which is what I use), Mini text. And the fact that you can do lots of customization to the theme and colour.

Thanks everyone for the reply. It looks like PI is the most popular. I will continue to investigate both of the thoroughly until my trial of AF expires. Then, I will have to make a decision.

I haven't experienced the "slowness" that everyone is speaking about using the AF. I have the trial of 7.1 - is that what everyone else is using?

I did the same thing, I tried AF and noticed that my Axim responded slower. I then uninstalled AF and installed PI. Much quicker responses. Soooo....I bought PI. I haven't been sorry. :approve:

I initially tried both demos and found that I liked PI better. Have been with it ever since. I too use it in combination with Pocket Breeze and have found they do all I need and more, great combination.

Hi again,

Thanks again for all the information. It looks like that I will probably stay with PI (especially since I already own it). I also, like the PhatNotes that comes with PI.

I hope the poll will continue to flourish. I think there are a few people that would like more information on AF and PI.

Thanks for participating and keep voting.:approve:

I just recently got my x50v and tried both of them and decided on PI, I use it with Pocket Breeze and couldn't be happier, Fusion was slower and didn't seem as easy to customize.

I appreciate all the votes - I am hoping we can get some more. I am still using my trial version of AF - I don't seem to have the speed problems that all of you are experiencing.
