How long do Backups take using Sprite?

I recently purchased Sprite Premium and did a complete backup (main, BIS, and SD) to PC last night. It took 5 hours to finish. Is this a typical amount of time? If I back up to my SD card will it go faster? Couldn't I then take that file and copy it from my card to PC using a card reader? - I'm guessing that would be faster than going through activesync directly. Would it take that same amount of time to Restore if my Axim went down? What are your thoughts? (I'm using a Dell X50V.)
Also, do those of you using Sprite choose the self-restoring file option? And has anyone come up with a way to have PocketMon look good on their today screen? It looks really pixelated on my screen - Anyone have an idea on how to improve this for VGA screens?

I use Sprite to make self-executing backups on my SD card and to make backups on my PC. Each backup only takes a couple/few minutes. I'm not sure what happened in your case. Sounds a bit odd, though.

If you backup as a self-extracting file to your Axim (main memory or other storage) you can copy it and move it with windows explorer in activesync.

I have the same experience as xdalaw. A few minutes at most.

EDIT: I just checked my log and my backups take about 1.5 minutes. I use a setup that's fairly close to the one MrK posted on Aximsite.

I don't backup BIS or my SD card. But I just backed up all my main memory to SD in 2mins 48 seconds...

Do you guys back up "persistant storage" as well? How big are your backup files?
Here is what the log says on my device:

Operation:Backup completed successfully
Backup file:Backup_2005-04-04.pbf

Start time: 4/4/05, 5:25:26 PM
End time: 4/4/05, 10:29:05 PM

Time elapsed: 5:03:39 H:M:S
Backup filesize: 268849KB
Average speed: 133KB/second

How does this report compare to what you guys are getting?

Whoa! Those are big files. Mine are in the 5-7M range. Nothing near what yours are. Hmmm.
