Worried odyssey client replacement?

As a newbie, I was reading lots of wonderful tread there. I understand I should try to free as much MM as possible. I read the following part and thought it would be great idea to remove this 2.2M stuff out of MM.
"Odyssey Client Replace – Create OdClientCE.exe text file with size of 0 and replace existing file in MM\Program Files\Funk Software\Odyssey Client to free up 2270KB in MM. Odyssey will still work since it also resides in \Windows."

I followed it but when I copy created OdClientCE.exe text file back to the folder, it didn't overwrite. Obviously system recognize them as two different file. I tried to delete OdClietnCE.exe, then reset, it came out some error messages. Then I move it back to make sure nothing hurts. Does anyone have correct experience to remove this 2.2M junk? Thanks a lot.

Not .exe.txt just .exe - you can't do this by just renaming the file. Here is what you do:
1. Right-click on desktop -> create new text file.
2.Open created file .
3. File -> save as.
opens a saving dialog.
Name -> OdClientCE.exe
Save as -> Any file, *.* , etc
4. Move the new file to Odyssey directory.

There are some people who would disagree with you...:-D
note: I sugest you save this file you've created in a PPC dedicated directory in your Documents, for example. This file is deleted during hardreset, so you might need this again in the future...
