Webis Mail 2.0 & Gmail Smtp problem

I love gmail as well as webis Mail 2. Following the instruction, I set up gmail pop setting and pop3/smtp with webis mail. I am using my wireless DSL router. Receiveing gamil works like a charm, however, It comes an error on sending email through smtp.gmail.com. The problem occurs with SSL. It shows off. But on setting, I selected Authentication required as well as 'Use secure connection'-Implicit with all SSL2,3,TLS 1 options on. Is anybody successful with WEbismail and Gamil smtp? Thanks.

Hmmm, try playing around with the secure connections settings. I remember I had to doodle around with that. Unfortunately, I had to wipe my PPC and haven't had a chance to set WebIS up properly yet.

I just downloaded Webis Mail 2.1. I guess the author fixed SSL off problem. However, it pops up a service Credentials windows asking for gmail smtp's login name and passward. Entered correct ones but the credential window repeatly shows up. Can't get it through!!!!!. Geez, one problem seems to be fixed, but the other one shows again. :rolling:

I'm having exactly the same issue - very frustrating.

It works with Authentication required checked, Use secure connection checked(with Connection Type: Implicit and Protocol version set to TLS1) and Use secure authentication unchecked.

still having difficulty receiving mail however.
