newbe help with bis

Im abit confused with what memory does what on my x50 mid.
64 ram and 128 rom.
as I understand rom is for the operating system and ram for extras and memory.
So Where in my system can I install to the rom is that the bis file?
And is that the only place to put programs into to try and keep ram free.
Apart from cf/sd cards

BIS is leftover ROM (leftover because the OS doesn't take up that much space) that can be used for programs and storage. And yes, it's the only other place for storage/ programs apart from memory cards to keep RAM free.
