PPC gurus:

I have an x50v with a Kingston CF Elite Pro 2 GB card that seems to work perfectly in every way except one. I cannot save a document with Pocket Word to any memory area with the card inserted.

If, for example, I click 'New -> Word Document', Pocket Word will launch fine and I can type in text. Once I try to save it (to Built-in storage, Main memory, or the CF card -- it doesn't matter), though, the spinning beach ball of death circles until I reset the computer with a swift jab to the back.

If I take out my card, it works fine.

I have done a hard reset to wipe everything, with nothing new installed, but that doesn't change anything.

Any ideas?

You shouldn't have hard resetted your pda, the problem is obviously with the CF card, not with the PDA. Try to format your CF card using WinXP or Win9x from a card reader (don't use your pocketpc for that). Try both Fat16 or Fat32, see what works for you best.
