Using Intellisync to sync two inboxes...
I'm trying to solve the issue of not being able to sync two inboxes (and outbox and sent mail) of my home computer and my work computer both running outlook - using the Ax as a bridge. As we all know activesync will not do this. So, I've been looking at alternatives. Right now, I'm playing with Intellisync from Pumatech. Using it, I am able to sync my inbox (and outbox and sent box) from my Ax with the corresponding boxes on my work computer - without using activesync. When I took it home to sync with my home computer - activesync simply added all the email from my home inbox to my Ax. It didn't sync with the email already on there (from my work computer).
Now here's my question. How is this situation any different than if I used my Ax with a WiFi card and sent and recieved email with it and then wanted to sync it up with my home inbox? The email is on there - and the home computer shouldn't care how it got there...right? Or maybe I'm missing the whole point about syncing email.
Also - has anyone tried using the export to .pst feature in Outlook to sync inboxes (and sent mail) on separate machines? Could this method be used to sync work and home computers using the Ax as a bridge?
