I will like to install all 3 products but i need help in determining the best location. I have an X50v with 1GB SD storage.

I am inclinded to install ListPro in SD storage, ewallet in BIS and Dockware Pro in Main memory.

I have previously installed to CF card, now have reorganised my PPC so that non-utility programs are on SD, system tools on internal file store and data on CF. So I can only accurately state that all works well from either SD or CF removable storage.(nb- can't swear to this with Dockware Pro I can't remember for sure where I had it installed and it is currently not installed on my machines) I know of no reason why IFS would be a problem. BTW is it "necessary" to install Dockware into main memory ??

Hope this helps.

My reason for choosing to install Dockware Pro in main memory is because of the screensaver. I could be wrong on that.

Fair enough ! Sounds logical to me. However just took a peek at Ilium's website and they say this about Dockware Pro:
Installation Options- main memory or storage card

So looks like you may be able to save some RAM ! :approve:

Actually i don't need Dockware Pro but it comes as part of the Ilium Essentials package. I got it yesterday for $32.95. I think it is a good deal for the above 3 applications.

I see i will be fine installing ewallet in SD storage.

Absolutely, I think it is a fantastic deal for very high quality software and indeed I have the same package.
ListPro is IMHO one of my "must have" applications and I must use it 20 times a day !
eWallet is there "in case I need it" (CC details, passwords, PINs etc etc....) and would never be without it.
Don't get me wrong, I think dockware/dockware pro is good too but I have just re-organised my stuff to increase PPC performance and I suppose - being a bit harsh here- dockware is in the "non essential" category !!! (.....but so are games and you don't see me taking Atomic Canon off my PPC. Well I never said I was logical )

Have fun with your new software !

$32.95? Is there an extra coupon in cyberspace? Ilium site lists $44. PS/ where did you end up putting everything--any problems?

I used two coupons. They combine to take $12 off.

1. The $5 aximsite member discount. You can search for it.
2. Also this $7 discount. Ilium

Thanks.

Thanks ickeal. Looks like a great deal.
I'll install all 3 on the SD unless anyone tells me not to--(by tonight, please).

I'm a relatively new user of ListPro. So far, I find it to be an easy to use, helpful and simple tool. I would be interested in learning some of the ways that you have found it to be helpful.
Right now, I have a Shopping list, Target/Walmart List, Trader Joe's List (California), Movie rental list --- nothing ever looks good to me when I'm in the Video store, so I keep a list of movies. Local Restaurant list. Big ticket purchases list for 2005, Resolutions List, Software list with Registrations, and a Stops to Make list.

What are some of the lists that you find yourself using on a regular basis?

Hi Stu-be,
Sorry for the very late reply, I totally missed your post.
If you haven't already found it , this is a good place to download free lists for Listpro:
http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/lp/lp_lists.php

You already sound as though you have things going well !
I tend to have 2 kinds of lists
1. Reference- fairly static, for example conversion ratios or list of serial numbers
2. Active- stuff I'm continually flagging or changeing or adding to: for me most important/useful is my shopping list, also low priority/long term goal tasks lists (high priority are in my PIM). To Do lists , timetable of TV shows to tape, list of gifts given to other people, rarely used phone numbers that I don't want clogging up my contacts database, etc. I guess I'm a list type of person!

Below is an e-mail I got from eWallet support on installation to SD card. I haven’t tried it yet, but here goes;

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Ilium Software. eWallet can be installed to the Pocket PC storage card, file store, or other external memory device.

To do this you must first uninstall the program from main memory (if it is installed there) and then reinstall to the storage card. Simply cutting and pasting the program folder to the card will cause problems with synchronization. For more information on installing software to external memory you may need to refer to the documentation for your device.

If you are using SyncPro to sync your data, you must install the program to the storage card as well if you wish to keep your wallet files on the card. If you do not need to sync the wallets you can store them in a folder called My Documents in the root directory of your card.
