RSS reader

Hi all,
Sorry if this was asked and answered before.
I have a X50v and I'm looking for an RSS reader that can read/download feeds and articles so I can view them offline if I want. I'd like it to work downloading only if the PDA is connected to the internet (no messages every X minutes saying I'm not connected) and I'd also like if possible to configure it to keep the last "n" entries from each feed so I don't have to manually delete the articles or posts from time to time.
If you can point me to a good reader I'd appreciate it. If it's free then even better!

PocketRSS from
HappyJackRoad Can download the articles.

Some rss feeds will give an excerpt, but they all seem to want to keep the full article online.

The problem is, when the rss reader download the online article for offline viewing, it downloads the whole page which can make reading harder.

Also, PocketRSS (whic I use) uses the built in ie to view the downloaded article, but does not give full access to ie formatting. (one column, desktop, etc)

Let us know how you get on.
If you find a better solution, I'd be intrested.

For viewing websites offline, are there any advantages to using RSS over the sycning mobile favorites on Internet Explorer to your PDA?

I use NewsBreak, works great, easy to add channels, good interface...I don't even use the browser that much anymore....makes life easier.

It doesn't look like NewsBreak has a Today plugin. Am I wrong about this?

I use PocketRSS because it has a today plugin that can be a tab within Pocket Breeze. frees up space but I can leave it there and have my other plugins showing at the same time.:)

I concur regarding Pocket RSS, excellent cacheability (not sure that's even a word

, packed with features, smooth interface. Downloads will be slow if caching to BIS or SD card, but I just let it sit and walk away for a few minutes and let it do it's thing.

You're right that NewsBreak doesn't have a today screen plug-in. And, I really wish it did.

While I like PRSS (and, love the PocketBreeze today-screen integration), I hate the way the stand-alone app looks. Very fuzzy text and awkward layout. If the stand-alone clarity and simplicity of NewsBreak were combined with the today plug-in of PRSS, I think I'd have the ultimate PPC RSS feed-reader. :)
